McBride Botanical Gardens--Day 2

On day 2, we went to the McBride Botanical Gardens.  What a beautiful place to visit.  There were so many different varieties of plants.  It was fun to walk through a section called the "canoe garden".  These plants represented the plants that were brought over by the people coming from other pacific islands, in their canoes.  To think of the long journey from other pacific islands.

I don't know what these little "pumpkins" in the tree were, but we thought they were cute.  All three colors on the same branch.

This cat looked like the "garden" cat.  He was sitting their peacefully under the large leaves.

The following photos, may look a bit familiar to some of you.  There is a small bay, with inland jungle type setting.  Maybe you can imagine Johnny Depp running through the jungle?

The photos below may look familiar--from Jurrasic Park.  In this area of the park, was a nice bathroom that was donated by Michael Crichton.

A beautiful day in the gardens!
