Elizabeth's BYU Graduation!

Yay! We attended Elizabeth's graduation from BYU last week and it was a wonderful opportunity for us to share this special moment with her. Elizabeth has been dedicated to her Nursing studies and was rewarded by graduating with honors; Phi Kappa Phi, Cum laude. The general graduation ceremony was held on April 22 in the Marriott Center. There were 6,100+ students graduating. The keynote speaker was Elder Christofferson. We are proud of her and her accomplishments!

April Fool's Day!

Is it really April 1st? Where in the world did March go? There seems to be a pattern with me. On the first day of each month lately, I am stunned that we have moved into another month. This means that Elizabeth will be married in one month. Her wedding date is May 1.

I was catching a morning news show this morning that had some April Fool treats. They were so cute! Sushi: made with rice marshmallow treats with gummy candy and fruit leather. Bagel: donut with cream cheese frosting and dried mango as the salmon. I can't remember what was on top, so I'll have to look that up. Lasagna: pound cake, vanilla pudding, red jam with crushed Oreos, sweetened ricotta. They looked so great! Maybe I'll try them some time.

I was thinking about an April Fool's day several years ago when Sarah was in high school. She made salt dough and rolled them into balls. Then she dipped them in chocolate. They "looked" really tasty! Sarah was an office aide in the school office at the time. She took the "chocolate's" in to the office and asked if any one would like to try them. The person I remember most about eating her treats, was the Principal, Kevin Skelly. Was he surprised! I think they didn't expect the trick from Sarah. She was such a good, and quiet student. . . .
