The first day in Hawaii, we went to the beach, of course! We went to the Poi'pu beach, which is about 3 miles away from Dave and Elizabeth's house! This really is paradise if you can get to the beach in five minutes!

No trip to the beach would be complete without a bucket and shovel!

Of course, it wouldn't be Kauai without a rooster walking by. . . They are all over the island!

It was a very nice day at the beach with Elizabeth and Evelyn! Of course, grandma being "white", got burned the first day, even with sunscreen! oooppppsssss......

oh ouch. A little aloe vera gel will help take away the sting. She's a little cutie. Glad you're getting to spend time with her.
Looks like heaven. Glad you are getting to spend some time with the grand baby and her parents.
